Enterprise vault version 8.0 sp4 / Exchange 2003 / Windows Server 2003 R2
We have been enganged on an migration to Centera from an NTFS partition located on NetApp. So now I want to delete the partition and get the space back.
I first tried to delete the partition and an error came up saying there were items in the partition so it couldn't. The original installer set up collections and there were some CAB files left. Maybe it was that. So I temporarily moved all the files sos NOTHING was in the partion and I still get the same error.
The conclusion I have come to is that the error is coming from SQL which thinks that there is something in there or maybe the indexes which believe there is something in there.
So my question to the experts is: if SQL (wrongly) believes there is stuff in a partition what do I do?
Just how should I get to a point where I can remove this partition ?

Hi Stephen,
The heritage does seem to cause you some head-aches doesn't it?
Anyway.
Chexck these 2. I think you need the 1st one (move partition on same server).

The links resulted in a 404 web error for me. Are they correct?
