4 questions about this subject:

1 - Is the Placeholder Service supported (and certified by Microsoft) for MSCS Cluster files servers ?

2 - How are managed permissions changes on a tree diagram containing some migrated files ? Do Migrated files acquire new rights or keep their own rights at the migration time ?

3 - How are managed restructurings of tree diagram containing some migrated files ?

4 - Is there a procedure to verify the consistency between migrated files, EV SQL data base and information registered in the Centera (containing vaults). And that in both way .

2. Permissions on archived data are poorly implemented as the default is to assume the permissions from the file share. The only workaround is to create multiple archive points and use the following reg key.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\

DWORD value named SynchroniseFSASharePermissions

1 ? Perform share permission synchronization (default)

0 ? Perform folder root archive point folder permission synchronization.

4. Index Volume Replay will allow you to check on the status of your indexes but I don't believe there is a utility that will do what you ask.
