Hi

Does anyone have experience of temporary processing of FSA during a run ? we have a customer who is mentioning that their c:\ is running out of space each night when this task runs and I want to know where is this temporary data stored ? is it on the Windows temporary directory (temp) ?

Thanks

Chris

I now understand that this is stored in the local settings \temp directory on a per user basis and this is an EV recommendation to change as below

Windows Temp folder
Enterprise Vault services write temporary files to the Windows Temp folder. If the
Temp folder is on the system disk, this can cause the following problems:
Customizations and best practice
Performance tuning
308
■ There may not be much space on the system disk. This means that Enterprise
Vault services may stop because they have run out of temporary storage space.
■ Performance may be affected because of the access needed to both system files
and temporary files.
We recommend that, on every computer that is running an Enterprise Vault
service, you move the Windows Temp folder to a disk other than the system disk.
To move the Windows Temp folder
1 Log on as the Vault Service account.
2 Create the new Temp folder that you are going to use.
3 On the Windows desktop, right-clickMyComputer and then click Properties.
4 Click the Advanced tab and then click Environmental Variables.
5 In the User variables section, click the TEMP variable.
6 Modify the value so that it points to the new folder that you created.
7 In the User variables section, click the TMP variable.
8 Modify the value so that it points to the new folder that you created.
9 Click OK.
10 Restart the computer.
