EV Mass CAB file Recall from Netbackup to EV

Hi everybody,

I need to perform a mass recall from NetBackup CAB file back to EV.

The objective is to remove NBU from EV solution, no more migrator using staging on tape, only disk.

Today, i get around 1,3 TB of CAB File store on NetBackup env.

What I know, is the following instruction :

1) Restore from NBU to Original location of Each cab

2) Deactivate migration option

2) Create a script to modify the SQL Table about location of the cab file

Is someone has perform this operation and can give me a feed back or advices ?

Starting with NBU 7.1 (i believe that's the first version with this option), there is an option using command line (bprestore) to restore all cabs for a single archive in one job.

Consult this guide ( page 132 and on) for mass restores:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=DOC3660

Make sure to Uncheck the enable migration, before this process.

Yes, you are right thx !, yes i m already in 7.1.0.1

source : "If the -ev_migrated_data parameter is passed to bprestore, the data being

restored must be Enterprise Vault-migrated data. Attempting to use this parameter
to restore the data that is not Enterprise Vault-migrated data can result in
unpredictable behavior, and is not supported."

I  will do it and give to forum a feed back, it may interest some other people.
