EV Server Sizing - Everything on one server or split it all out

I'm currently working on a project to implement journal archiving,  mailbox archiving and eventually file archiving using Enterprise Vault 7.5.  The deployment will also include discovery accelerator for compliance searching, It's going to be for 300 users and I'm wondering how I should set everything up.

When speaking to the EV Demo team they've indicated that I could get away with putting everything on 1 physical server.  This includes the EV software and all the SQL Server components

The server is an HP DL380 G4 with 2 x Intel Xeon 3.2Ghz, 4GB RAM, Ultra SCSI local disks

I've spoken to a guy who has a 500 user implementation and has a vmware based virtual EV and virtual SQL Server so I'm reasonably happy that 1 physical server should be OK,  anyone got any idea if there are any problems with the setup that I've described,  incompatibility, performance or capacity problems

Any help would be much appreciated

Regards

Hi there

I recommend that you keep at least SQL as a seperate machine.

Cheers
