Hi,

Can someone confirm if EVPM can be used to set archiving policy on calendar folder in EV 2007.

Basically I want to use 1 provuisional group for all mailboxes archiving with a policy and then have a diff archive rule archiving calendar.

Yes, this should be possible, because calendar is just a folder.

From the Utilities Guide:

[Folder] section

Include this section if you want to modify the properties of individual folders or

complete mailboxes.

Mandatory settings

Name

If the specified folder hierarchy does not exist, Policy Manager will create it and

then set the specified properties.

Possible values:

■ mailboxroot (specifies the root folder).

■ folder path. You do not need to specify a path for the following special

folders created by Outlook: Inbox, Outbox, SentItems, DeletedItems, Drafts,

Calendar, Contacts, Journal, Notes, and Tasks. In these cases, specify only

the folder name without the leading backslash. These names work for all

languages, so, for example, you can specify “Inbox” on a Japanese system.

Examples:

■ To create a folder called “xyz” in the root folder:

Name = \xyz

■ To specify the Deleted Items folder:

Name = DeletedItems
