Enterprise Vault/Exchange Folder Delegation

Environment: Enterprise Vault 9 SP1 & Exchange 2010/Attachment only archiving with shortcuts

Question: Does Enterprise Vault recognize explicit Exchange folder permissions?

Scenario. User A has granted User B Read access to a folder called Hearings in User A's mailbox. User A's mailbox has been added to User B's Outlook so that User B can see the Hearings folder in User A's mailbox. Should User B expect to be able to open up the EV shortcuts in the Hearings folder?

I do not believe this is working in our environment, and I'm just trying to determine whether or not it actually should work. On the Exchange policy, the following settings are set.

Inherited permissions: Off

Synchronize folder permissions: On

Many thanks.

you'll want to turn inherited permissions on if you want EV to syncronize the permissions from exchange

Great - I will make that change now and check it out after the next mailbox synchronization.

you can run a manual sync on 1 mailbox for testing purposes
