Enterprise Vault & NetBackup - Archiving & Backing Up Legal Docs

We have a situation where our Legal Team wants to archive Legal data for say two years on Enterprise Vault.  But they do not want our NetBackup system to backup this information and more than two years.  Can you separate out archive data for NetBackup to handle differently?

We have NetBackup 7.01 and Enterprise Vault 9.03

absolutely you can set retention on your backups in netbackup. your EV backups will have their own set of policies in NBU. i strongly recommend using the netbackup agent for EV.
