Exchange 2003 mode and EV 7

Hello all,
 
is there any requirement about the Exchange 2003 mode (mixed or native) when configuring EV 7 for mailboxes archiving ?
I don't see anything about that on the Supported product list or EV documentation.

As far as I'm aware, the Exchange mode is mainly a domain issue Enterprise Vault is ok working this either.
 
I don't recall seeing anything in any documentation.

We're still in mixed mode (a few pesky Exchange 5.5 sites still lagging behind...) and EV 2007 is working just fine with it.
