Exchange 2010 and DACs

Does anyone have any experienca using EV in an environment using Exchange 2010 DAGs with DACs

 Datacenter Activation Coordination (DAC)

Are DACs supported?

Hi Mark,

Interesting article. As far as EV is concerned, the task targets the active DAG. How you configure DAC does not influence that I believe.

But, I am also interested in learning how this is handled by EV.

As EV is just a MAPI client the CAS is in control of which DAG member the requests are sent to.  From reading the article I cannot see a reason why EV wouldn't be OK with this.  Given that the DAC is protecting two member servers mounting the same DB this can only be beneficial to EV and the Exchange infrastructure.

The TechNet article is a little clearer and more indepth (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd979790.aspx).  It also states it should be set when using continuous replication across data centers.
