Export mail to original mailbox

Hi All,

Can anyone assist me with the following I have installed EV 2007 Sp3. All is working fine except when I export all archived items to a users mailbox the exporting of the archived items works fine all archived items are sent back to the users mailbox with no issues.

But when I try to re-archive that mailbox it does not archive all the messages again it seems that enterprise vault recognizes that it has been archived before as it archives the mailbox but does not take any items that I have exported previously from Enterprise Vault.

I have tried to disable the mailbox re-enable the mailbox does not work. I have disabled the user and removed he's archive and zapped the mailbox and it did not work.

This happens to more than 1 user.

Can anyone think off something.

Hello,

This came up awhile back.  https://forums.symantec.com/syment/board/message?board.id=106&message.id=15812&query.id=385656#M1581...

There is also a technote similiar to what you need.  http://support.veritas.com/docs/285091

You can use IgnoreEVDate registry keys.

HKLM\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agents

[DWORD] IgnoreEVDates

Set the following registry values to:

1 (Ignore Archived Date)

2 (Ignore Restored Date)

3 (Both)

You will want to be sure to not leave the key in place and use it only to target your specific mailboxes.

Regards,

Scope of what could be wrong here is too large so you will need to carry out some further troubleshooting and perhaps raise a case with tech support.

1: Does anything archive or just the items you have re-imported back to mailbox?

2: Does a manual archivwe of these items work using the "Archive" button in Outlook?

3: Obtain a drace of the Archiving Task and Agent Client Broker whilst doing a run now though the admin console against one of the users that has the issue?

4: If a manual archive does not work obtain a client trace capturing this.

You can obtain technotes on how to obtain a client trace and Dtrace via the http://support.veritas.com support site for EV.  Search using cloient trace or dtrace words.
