FSA 50 Meg Item Size Index Limit?

All:

We will soon be ingesting hundreds of Gigabytes of file system in support of a discovery request.  In reviewing the documentation, my team has indicated that if an individual file is larger than 50 megabytes, it will not be indexed and therefore will not be found by DA.  Does anyone know what the scoop is here?   Can this limit be increased or is it really an Alta Vista limitation?

Hi,

Given this is for discovery purposes I do think you should be speaking with symantec consultancy to ensure you get this right.  I have known customers to store TB's of data only to get something wrong and have to start again.  Asking questions like this shows you are certainly thinking about things, but it only takes one setting to be wrong and you could have to do it all again.
