FSA restore from EMC fails

Hi

A customer scenario:

Network shares with archived FSA data moved to EMC disks, copied with EMC tools.

items that have the archived icon when double clicked on - open correctly.

trying to bulk restore with fsautility gives "done" results but nothing is restored.

also in some folders when trying to restore we get the error:

Error: The path \\server\etc\etc2 is not associated with an archived volume. If you migrated placeholders to this location, let the File System Archiving task process the volume, then stop the task and re-run this command

found this forum discussion:

trying to run the ADSspy say it's not an NTFS share.

Any other known way for me to open this XML on the EMC?
does it holds an XML on the EMC?

Thanks,

Sarah

Sorry to have missed this!

It sounds like the placeholders were just copied over, is that the case?

How to migrate a FSA target to a different device type (I.E. NTFS to NETAPP) keeping the same name

Our FSA Migrator might be able to help but not 100% sure without talking to you more about it.
