Our Index drive out of space, fixed, now indexing service will not start. It was down to 0 bytes, we realized a few days after the problem started apparently. Added 200 GB extra space, rebooted, but the indexing service won't start. If we search using discovery accelerator or the website GUI, it says error, a service isn't started... specifically "your search request failed because an enterprise vault service was not available".

Hi there,
What errors do you see in the event viewer on the EV server?
In most cases, a reset of the Indexing service should fix the problem: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100037911

I forgot there was a separate event viewer set of logs. Here's what keeps popping up:
Could not build a saveset for the message titled [Lien waiver for XXXXXX] in Mailbox [/O=XXXXX/OU=EXCHANGE ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=E854256C1206474A9C6B317EB6A9EDB8-JOURNAL CEX16-2GB], function [CArchivingAgent::PI_BuildSaveset] failed.

This error is indicating an issue with MAPI (look for 0x80004005 in Google).
Have you restarted the EV Services, or even rebooted the server? That should clear that message. After reboot, verify all services are started. If Indexing service still throws errors, check eventlog, then if necessary, re-install Index binaries.
Can it be that the 200GB you added is already filled?

also check if your permissions on the index are correct.
