I'm busy with a new EV 9.0 sp1 installation
Anyway Deployment scanner is failing ,there is Red Warning on one of the SQL options and it says "SQL Incompatibility"
Ï have investigated this and the SQL DBA came back and said that the base install of EV is SQL 2000 but the SQL Instance he created is SQL 2005 SP3
I never thought you could have different versions of SQL running on the same server but the DBA said this can be done ?
I am connecting to the SQL server with the Instance name ..so its name is redcrown\redcrown1, so redcrown1 is the SQL Instance name
So even though I am using the SQL Instance to connect would EV use the redcrown name to check the version ...so is that why it is failing ?
Also another point ,I know the SQL instance was created is 2005 SP3 ..is there a way to bypass this possible error and just force EV to install ?Or is this not advisable as EV may use something on the SQL server outside the provided Instance and the "normal " install of EV is SQL 2000 which is not supported
