Is upgrading directly from EV 7.5 to 9 an option?

Will upgrading directly from Enterprise Vault v7.5 to v9 be supported, or will it be necessary to upgrade to v8 first?

EV Upgrades are normally from one version to the next.

Wait until EV9 is released there may be an option to upgrade from 7.5 SP X to 9.0 direct. In earlier versions this was an option dependent on SP level but you will only know that once EV9 is released next week. You will find it in the upgrade pdf file

according to the documentation i've read, the only possible upgrade path is from EV8

Whilst we're talking about a version that isn't yet publically available.....

You have to upgrade to EV 8 first.. and run the post upgrade configuration tasks, before you then upgrade to EV 9.

This has to get 'incorporated in the new policy division, databases etc.
