Items missing content in attachment(s)

I recently ran a verificationon an index and had the following results. I am trying to find out exactly what the "Items missing content in attachment(s)" mean. I think that it means that it could not convert the attachment to a searchable format but, I'm not sure.

This is typically about images in the attachments (can also be small images like logos in the mail signatures).
