Legal Holds and Backups

If a DA search has been run, and legal holds are applying when backups (EV and SQL) kick off, will some of the legal holds error out? Should all backups be suspended until the holds are all applied?

Should not really matter I believe, you may get some additional blocking going on, on SQL but all in all should be fine.  All that will happen is the legal holds that have applied at the backup moment in time is all that could be recovered in the event of a restore.

It will have no effect on the application of legal holds. it will just mean if you restore the DB you will be missing the hold mark on some of the items in the database which DA is supposed to check and correct. Worst case you will have to remove the holds and reapply
