Merge vaults

Hello

I am trying to remember if i can merge archive vaults together.

After an exchagne move it seems that an admin did not do the "SynchInMigrationMode" reg key and

at the vault to automatically create vaults for all the users

now must users have 2 vaults, is their an easy way to merge these together?

Unfortunately not.

You would have to export his archive to PST and import it in the destination archive.

Keep in mind that shortcuts won't work anymore if you delete the source archive.

We (Vault Solutions) has a product which could do this with a small change.  Currently, it scans mailboxes detecting shortcuts that have been moved or have a different retention category since they were originally archived.  It then 'updates' them by restoring the original, rearchiving, then updating the shortcut.  It wouldn't take much to have it update shortcuts that are located in other than the current default archive for the mailbox.
