Monitoring EV with HP OpenView

I tried to do some research into this to no avail.

How can EV be monitored through HP OpenView or similar monitoring software.

I read that EV supports monitoring by MOM, but is that the only option?

EV does support MOM and v7.0 introduced some much improved self monitoring capabilities and a web app to provide an interface to the reporting. You would need to manully set up monitoring through HP OpenView, eg idenitfy key event log entries, monitoring hardware resources and EV processes.
