Moving archives to Tape

Hi

How do I enable using multiple Tape drives in both the moving to and from tape. So I need about 4 tape drives running copying archives from the Vault Store to the tape library, and if I am doing multiple restore, also use multiple tape drives when performing multple recalls of data from Tape.

The only way I know of is to use NBU migration that requires collections, I don't know if it will meet all your requirements as its quite specific What I will say is DON'T DO IT It's the worst thing you could ever do, it doesn't work well for anyone and is a horrible solution for so many reasons But it you end up with an index that needs to be rebuilt and you are sticking pulling every single item from tape it could slow down your rebuild massively and cause you to miss court deadlines Also it's really really difficult to get out of the items being migrated
