Office Web App - Not Using FQDN Name

Hi

I'm trying to setup the Office Web App and I have bought a SSL certificate for my EV server and applied it.

However my problem is that the certificate I bought is for the servername (dbc.daap-03.domain.gov.uk) but EV is using the EV Server alias which isn't a FQDN (vaultsvr1). I've confirmed this using Fiddler.

Can I change the alias to use the FQDN of the server name? Or at least change the EV alias to be a FQDN, then I can get a SSL certificate for that?

it's very common for EV to be setup so that the alias is not the FQDN and it makes things much easier in various circumstances if you ever migrate or change domains. i think what you'll want to get is a SAN cert and have it include all the server names, FQDNs, and aliases of your EV servers.
