What is the difference between the "Outlook add-in" and the "HTTP-Only Outlook Add-in"? I read the upgrade documentation but it didnt explain.
I'm doing an upgrade from 8.0.5 to 9.0.1

Thanks that explained it.
I'm installling http only client version 9.0 manually and it doesnt show up in programs as installed (Windows 7) and I dont have the shortcut icons that I had when I had version 7.5 http add on installed. I restarted several times and installed http add-in 9.0 several times but nothing...

Did you uninstall the previous version manually?
Can you search your registry for 72FB1F3A?

I did have that in the registry and delted them but problem remained. Tech support had me install a uninstall clean up utility from MS and that solved the problem.
