Restore archived files.. All of them..

Good Evening All -

Just had a disk go bad that we use enterprise vault FSA for our backup solution (stagnant data).  Umm.. I do have an annual backup that I can go back to however this backup will be prior to us implementing EV into our environment and I was hoping I could just recall the files from EV.  How can I do this if the placeholder shortcuts are no longer there?  Is that possible? 

If that is not possible, once I restore the files from the old backup, what do I do?  Will I now have the original archived files in addition to these new files, is there anyway to link them up?

Wish I would have thought of this scenario with this vault store before setting it up..  Any and all advice appreciated.

You can use FSAUtility.exe in your Enterprise Vault installation folder

One thing to note however, remember that EV is not backup software and itself should be backed up regularly as well! :)
