When using the Enterprise Vault Search to restore an entire folder of messages the shortcuts remain. Is this how it should work be default and is there a way to change this behavior? Attached will be a screen shot of where this operation is being performed.
From the search page you show, the behaviour is to restore the items to the folder... existing shortcuts won't be overwritten. The best bet is to remove them using Outlook/Outlook Web Access, then restore.
Yes that will work. I'd so a sanity check first of all... count the number of shortcuts in the folder, count the number of items returned by the search.
Just did the "sanity" check and that worked perfectly. I did notice this message that says messages over the size limit will not be restored. Not sure what that means but all the messages did restore and no more shortcuts.
