Store in Vault

Hi All

Upgraded our system to version 9 but when ever the users store items into the vault the item goes from archive pending back to the original state. if we delete the queues then the users can store items. But this only lasts about a hour then the same problem.

Any ideas?

Is there anything in the event log?

Is the server going in to backup mode? Or are you using legacy backup mode (registry keys), I have seen newer version of EV do exactly this when the server is set to legacy backup mode.

It might help to, if you describe your environment a little more. Number of EV Servers would be a helpful thing :)

Hi All

No Errors in the event logs, nothing wrong in the client logs either.

1 Server 64bit running on VMware, 2003 64bit OS. Mailbox archiving, Journaling. In normal mode. No legacy reg keys on the server.

I am trying to reinstall the MSMQ and see if that makes a difference.

Are these items digitally signed messages, or just regular messages? 

Is it happening for all users, or just 1-2?

Is the Vault Store that the user is on in backup mode?  (You can check in the VAC)

They are Regular messages.

Its happening to all users

Non of the vault stores are in backup mode.

Grab a client trace, and a DTRACE of the archive task and post them here.

I don't think there is a lot more to suggest (other than odd ideas) without looking at the data.
