Hi Guys,
Thought I'd update the call with the actual resolution. This is going to sound bizarre, but it actually rectified the problem.
With the help of Symantec, checked the usual suspect areas.
Asked me to delete archived message then checked the logs on both my PC & the EV server. Found an access denied message specific for my vault. It seems my admin account was trying to delete the message, even though I was logged in with my "everyday" domain user account. So we added my Admin account to the permission on my personal vault. Synced my mailbox and all of a sudden I could delete archived messages.
The spooky part is after I let a company wide synchronise happen over night, all of the users who were experiencing the issue could suddenly delete archived messages! Weird!
Before anyone pipes up and says you obviously had the vault permissions set incorrectly, WRONG! My admin account does not have any rights on the EV server at all. We have a seperate EV service account that is used and access to personal vaults is 99.9% locked down to the individual.
There you have it. Scrutinise the logs and you usually find the answer.....
Thanx to Symantec Technical Support in Oz for their great work!
Cheers,
Dave
