Vaulted Folders not Viewable in Archive Explorer webpage

Snatcher

Ladies and Gents looking for some assistance on the issue below.

EV server 9.0.3.1164 in two node cluster on Windows Server 2003 SP2 Std Edition.

Using the webpage http://myvaultserver/enterprisevault/archiveexplorerui.asp i search for Vaulted home folders of users. The vast majority of folders are there but some missing.

I can go on to the Target vault server and locate the users folder and can see items vaulted and with placeholders. But in the Archive explorer page the users folder not visible. If i do a search for a paticular file using advanced search in the Archive explorer page the search locates the file and gives the correct path to the vaulted folder.

So far i have rebuilt the index, which took 146 hours and only came back with one error. I have made sure that the evault accont has full control on the archive share and resynced permissions. To no avail.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Snatcher

Hello Snatcher,

Take a look at the following note it could perhaps help you

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH52763&actp=search&viewlocale=en_U...

This could be a similar problem with your db's entries.

Hi Sandrine,

read the article and with one of our DB guys ran the SQL queries. It see our full folder structure which is good. The resolution recommends

SET ParentFolderRootIdentity = NULL.

I am reluctant to do this, i have contacted symantec for some guidance.

Will let you know the outcome.

Thanks Again
