Virtual Vault for new SMTP Archiving users

Hello,

we used Exchange archiving the last 10 years but now moved to the EXO Cloud with our mailboxes.

Therefore we now have to do SMTP Archiving. For our old users that already had Exchange archive, Virtual Vault is fine in Outlook and showing correctly.

For the new users where I create SMTP archives now, Outlook does not show up the Virtual Vault with the plugin, as there is no hidden message stored in the mailboxes as it was the case with Exchange Archiving.

How can I have the Virtual Vault in Outlook available to my users that only received a new SMTP Archive ? For now they only have web access available.

Hello Andy,

Virtual Vault requires Vault Cache, this is a feature available with Exchange Archiving and not with SMTP Archiving.

That is sad. So I have to advise new users that they can only use webmail.
