Using EV 2007 SP3
We want to remove the ability for our users to in any way restore/copy/move items from their vaults back into exchange. Obviously we can hide that function from the Outlook client extensions toolbar and menu via the mailbox policy/advanced/outlook options. However there are still a few other places within the web application and the search vault tool that a user can still use to get vaulted items back into exchange. There are multiple threads on this board regarding how to customize the Webbapp.ini file, and those options work great in our dev lab and end up hiding everything we want. What concerns us is the release notes for vers. 7.0 here...

Specifically this section...
2.15 Changes to WebApp.ini settings for Archive Explorer
The following WebApp.ini settings, which controlled aspects of Archive Explorer behavior, are no longer supported. If you have any of these settings in WebApp.ini you are recommended to remove them:
- ArchiveExplorerDelete
- ArchiveExplorerHelp
- ArchiveExplorerRestore
- ArchiveExplorerSearch
- ArchiveExplorerSettings
If these options are no longer supported, then what is the alternative method for hiding these options? Also, it only appears to mention the Archive Explorer related entries in the Webapp.ini file, what about others like 'NoExchange=1' and 'ISRestoreButton=0'??? Are these still ok to use?
