Zapping maillbox does not remove automatic permissions...

Following this note - http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/280196.htm

I'm trying to Zap a mailbox to remove inherited permissions. As the mailbox no longer has a valid Exchange account in the live world, I can't modify the permissions there. The EVPM run completes fine, but the permissions on the mailbox are unchanged. I'm using EV 8 SP3. Below is the zap script I'm using...any thoughts?

[Directory]
DirectoryComputerName= ServerName
SiteName=VaultSite1

[VaultPermissions]
VaultName= Username
Zap= True

have you tried using the archiveID instead of the archive name?

If modifying permission is what you want to do change the Bill To account to a valid account.  Then you will be able to add them manually if you wish.

Cheers,

Thanks, I think the Bill to Account would allow me to add permissions, but trying to strip some. Looks like Desktop Services made the account visible to everyone before deleting...so the Vault inheritted wide open permissions.

The tip on using the ArchiveID instead of the username did it. Thanks much!
