Below is required information:

From PureDisk 6.6 Admin guide:

Export limitations:
The PureDisk NetBackup export engine lets you export backed up PureDisk Files
and Folders data selections to NetBackup. The NetBackup export engine does not
export other PureDisk data selection types.
When you choose data selections for export, a tree structure appears in the Web
UI , and you make your selection from the tree. Be aware that PureDisk exports
only the Files and Folders data selections in the tree. For example, if you select a
storage pool that has many types of data selections, PureDisk exports only the
Files and Folders data selections. In addition, if you choose to export replicated
data from a target storage pool, PureDisk exports only the replicated Files and
Folders data selections.

Hope that helps !!

Hi Simon

It certainly is possible as I do this. I have 6 remote sites which replicate back to a central site and this site then exports the replicated agents off to tape once a week.

Setting it up should be the same as any other client

Login to SPA

Click Manage icon

Go to policies

Expand Data management Policies

Click Export to Netbackup

Select "Create Policy" icon

On the Data Selection Tab you browse and find agents [R] Servername.com.au

setup the usual Schedules and Parameters

and that should be it.

As Sachin has mentioned, the only types you can export to tape though is "Files And Folders" ,  "Full System backups" , "System State Backups" or "UNC Path Backups"

In other words MS Exchange, SQL and Oracle can not be exported to tape.

regards

Simon
