1. Login to the SPA
2. Click On the Manage Icon
3. Go to Policies
4. Expand "Storage Pool Management Policies"
5. Expand "Data Mining"
6. If the Policy is disabled, then Enabled it
- If there is no Policy, Create one
- Check when the Policy is scheduled to Run and set it as you like it
7. Click "Run Policy" to start it straight away.
I run this once a week only. Unless you plan on checking the info in it every day I would also set that the same on yours. It can take from 30 mins to many many hours to run (mine around 7 hours on Light)
Light or Full mode also makes a difference in time taken. The FULL mode counts how many types of file extension ie how many .XLS, .MP3, .DOC etc etc so unless that is usefull to you just run light mode.
Also Try to avoid this running at the same time your DR backups are running. Sometimes it can lock the tables and when the DR backup trys to do a export they can conflight. I set my DR Backups to run at 4.30am and Datamining to run at 12pm (mid day)
