Hi All,

One of our client suddently throws the "(13) file read failed " error.

Please have a look on the below bpkar log of the client ,

see the time difference between these 2 lines... looks like /opt/evo has some issues...

login to the client and run the df -k command and see if its ends fine or not.. if it does not, get system Admin to fix it..

it df -k works fine..then run ls -R /opt/evo and see how much time its taking to compleate.. it should compleate with in the time of the client read time setting in the netbackup...

if it does not you also need to check with SA or app ower to house keep the FS 

what about the OS and Netbackup versions on the client?

Try setting CLIENT_READ_TIMEOUT to 1800 on maste,media and client.

Also take a closer look at /opt  to check if a directory of file hang bpbkar. The tech note describe how to debug bpbkar hangs. If you need assistance with the bpbkar log attach it to
