Just wanted to know how to configure Netbackup to assign a media to be used for each day and the same tape has to be used rotated in the same order in which it was used.
You may already know, it's easy if your rule is based on the day of week. Just make volume pools and schedules for each day. But if not, it's hard to implement with robustness.
This can also be done this way 1) Create 7 tapes for Mon tue etc. 2) First freeze all the tapes all the tapes are in one pool, On epolicy 3) ON monday Morning a script runs to unfreeze tape for monday same to be configured for the other days.
