There're quite a few alternatives. Evaluated 2 of them, one of more affordable and another with more comprehensive features:
Brocada
It provide overview of the backup status, mapping features, Utilisation, Orphan and other reports. It also provide some basic charge back reports which I feel may not be adequate for a full charge back environment but useful for justifying one's worth. HBSM Backup Reporting/Monitoring software (From HDS)
Its part of HDS storage management suite that can be purchase separately. One thing to note is that the underlying engine is actually aptare (i.e. Aptare OEM by HDS) More details can be found in http://www.hds.com/products_services/storage_mgmt_software/business_continuity/backuprecovery.html
Other solutions which I hasn't got any experience are like Tek-Tools' BackupProfiler, WysDM for Backups, tools from StorageTek (now SUN), etc.
It really depends on one's needs (& budget) as there're always pro & cons from each product, most of them works for multiple backup software (e.g. Netbackup, Networker, TSM, CommVault, etc).
