Hi There,

I have a few noobie questions about bmr on Windows 32bit and 64bit platforms.

1. with the update of 6.5.4 it states that there is support for a BMR server on windows 2003 x64. Will my x32 master server be able see the x64 machine as a BMR clilent after the update?

2. Does my Master server need to be running on a x64 platform to see windows 2003 x64 machines as BMR clients?

3. In order to restore using BMR to a x64 machine you need a x64 bmr boot server correct? would the x64 boot server handle 32 bit machines as well?

4. Does a boot server have to be on the master server?

Thanks,
-Mark

I'm also noobie fot BMR, but I can tell you.

1. x86 master and BMR master server can work for x64 clients. But x86 BMR boot server can not.

2. No. Even other OS can work as BMR master. But BMR boot server must be same platform with target clients.

3. Yes. x64 boot server is needed.

4. No. You can configure independent boot server.
