Hi, I need to perform a BMR on a Oracle Linux System. I have a Windows 2008 system running master and media server and the Linux backups are done properly. How do I create an SRT for the linux system?
Thanks

You need to configure OEL BMR Boot server first to create SRT.
For that, Install NB client onto a OEL system having version equl to or more than your client OEL system.
Register this client with NB master; then run bmrsetupboot command in netbackup/bin directory to register it BMR boot server.
Then, Create SRT using bmrsrtadm CLI avaiable in netbackup/bin directory.
Thanks.

In case your OEL client is still running, you can temporary create BMR BS on it; create SRT; burn BMR SRT ISO media out of it. Then de-register boot server again. You can use this media to boot your client for recovery later. This is referred as BMR Media based restore.
You can also do BMR Network based restore. For that you need a separate OEL machine which can act has boot server as well as network boot server for your OEL client/s.
Thanks.
