I could see my network based SRT below files but my hardward is Sun-Fire V440.You mean we have to install this Sun-Fire V440 inside the SRT with use of 5.  Modify an existing Shared Resource Tree option in ./bmrsrtadm ?

If yes.How we can download Sun-Fire V440 packages?

$ ls -ld SUNW,Sun-Fire*

Hi Mandar,

While creating cd based SRT its asked for below option and i have inserted solaris 1 of 2 OS cd...I think we have to copy SRT image to new cd and have to insert?

Could you please confirm..I have inserted again soalris 9 OS cd while creating cd based SRT with use of existing SRT>

This from our document :-

You must have the Solaris installation media (Software 1 of 2) that created the
SRT you copy to the CD/DVD. You must enter the device name that contains the
installation media

Once you have general SRT prepared i.e. with option 1. create SRT; then you do not require OS media again in order to create ISO image for the same.

ISO creation (bmrsrtadm menu option 2) will ask you existing srt name for which ISO to be created. You do not require OS CD again.

thanks.

Ohhh i got it. It requires only Solaris 9 to configure boot image in ISO. For later Solaris releases this CD requirement is not there while creating ISO SRT.

Here bmrsrtadm is failing to detect Solaris_9 CD. Is the media put in the driver is correct? Also i believe "dev/dsk/c0t6d0s2" path is CDROM on your machine.

THanks.

Hi Mandar,

Exactly i am followed the steps first time while creating ISO based image and created successfully. After that i have started testing and got the error of below after gived

ok > boot cdrom

boot: cannot open kernel/sparcv9/unix.

I saw some post they rectified after installed recommanded cluster 9 patchin the ISO image...Shall i do the same?

Thanks,

Try doing that but i suspect this is something different.

This error tells me that solaris kernel is not configured correctly in the SRT ISO image.

thanks.
