Backup ending with status "6: the backup failed to back up the requested files" in only one channel.

Hello,

I'm new with NBU 7.6 and recently we had a situation that generated some doubts with my coworkers.

In a Oracle Backup where have some channels like "Default-application-backup" and only one of this channels returns the error 6 - the backup failed to back up the requested files. I understand that this backup was lost, or am i wrong?

When RMAN logs contains the information that the backup had ended ok but in NBU it ended with status code 6, who should i trust? Its confuse! =\

I read some articles in this forum, but i did not found something like that.

Best to have a complete understanding of how the rman script is configured.
Will it rerun upon a failure? 
If so, the last job maybe the rerun and has completed successfully.

I have never seen NetBackup reporting a status 6 but no error rman side.

Can you perhaps share a copy of the rman output file?
(Copy to rman.txt and upload as attachment.)

Do you have dbclient log on the Oracle client?
If not, please create dbclient folder under /usr/openv/netbackup/logs and change permissions to 777.
dbclient log will help with further troubleshooting.
