Backup is failing with 21 status

i have linux client which is failing with 21 status.The connectivity from server to client is fine bptestbpcd from server to client is success , telnet from client to server is fine but bptestbpcd is failing with status 46.Can any body helpme out

bptestbpcd is server > client or server > server connect utility.

This mostley related client firewall settings. Check with firewall admin to make sure vnetd port is open bidirectional. Needed to be bidirectional if you have backup initiated from client (like RMAN backup) and also if your filesystem backup file selection is all_local_drives.
