Cannot apply patch 4.5FP8

Hi All,

Procedure to apply FP_8:
- On master server
- install NB_45_8_F_273937.solaris
- install NB_CLT_45_8_F_273940
- install NB_JAV_45_8_F_273955
- install NB_DMP_45_8_F_273944.solaris
- install Mappings_4.5_272844
- run update_clients

However, NetBackup version still use FP_6 on
jnbSA->Host Properties. Any idea !!

Hi ,
Patch installation order is not correct. Firstly you must install Client Pack after the maintenance pack. I think problem is not related with this. Now ;

1. Check the Java pack installation log .
2. Run "Netbackup Administraton Console" (jnbSA) on master server console and check the Netbackup Administrtaion Console's Java version version.
3. # cat /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version (this file shows your netbackup version)

From "Netbackup Administraton Console" (Java) you can not see the version of Netbackup it shows only Netbackup Administrtaion Console's Java version.

In fact, after run ./update_client, /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version is updated. I also run ./update_client -Install_Java.

However, jnbSA->Host Properties->client (all) still FP6 ??

That is correct. Because the product version is only listing major product updates. For 4.5 those were MP3 and MP6 and presumably when it comes out MP9.
