Cannot remove media servers

I am running Windows 2000 sp4 and NBU 6.0 MP4. I have two media servers that were removed from the network before I could decommission them. They show under Device-Hosts as Offline. I tried to remove them from there and get an EMM error (78). I have removed their robots and tape drives. They show up in the pull down menus in reports and they show up under Host Properties-Media Servers.
I would like to remove them from my config. Any ideas?

Did you remove them from bp.conf and vm.conf?

Did you delete the storage unit definition?

Do they show up in the nbemmcmd -listhosts?

I already had deleted the dsu. I checked the bp.conf and vm.conf. The servers are not listed there. I used the

nbemmcmd -deletehost -machinename dl2veritas -machinetype media

command and got

cannot delete assigned volume (92)

Before I issued the command I moved all tapes to standalone.

The servers are not online and I cannot get them back.

vmglob -listall -b
and see if you see the old machine

vmglob -delete
tpautoconf -sync
vmoprcmd -h SERVERNAME -autoconfig -sync
vmglob -listall -b

If possible, re-connect and boot up the media server and execute the procedures accordingly.

If the media server is gone forever, you can try removing the 'logical' media server and its device from NB (i.e. steps 4 onwards of the document http://support.veritas.com/docs/266720). As your media server is no more available, certain steps may took sometime as it is waiting for timeout while trying to establish connection with the removed media server.

Delete and re-configure the questioned tape drive back to your current media server.

http://support.veritas.com/docs/259899
The tape drive serial number or the firmware version is not correct in the global database.
