Celera Simulator for restoring NDMP Backups

I am trying to find a method for restoring NDMP backups that were on an older Celera which we are about to decommission.  We've stood up EMC's Celera simulator and I can connect to the simulator from both the media server and from the master server.  When I run the tpautoconf and define the host name to the simulator i get login successful as shown below:

Simulator
Connecting to host "daynasrestore" as user "ndmp"...
  Waiting for connect notification message...
Opening session--attempting with NDMP protocol version 4...
Opening session--successful with NDMP protocol version 4
    host supports TEXT authentication
    host supports MD5 authentication
  Getting MD5 challenge from host...
  Logging in using MD5 method...
  Host info is:
    host name "server_2"
    os type "DartOS"
os version "EMC Celerra File Server.T.6.0.36.4"
    host id "abc1997"
Login was successful
Host supports LOCAL backup/restore
Host supports 3-way backup/restore

When I try and restore data the restore fails with the following information:

What Nagalla might be trying to say is this:

You will need to restore to a volume (that has been created) via its root_vdm_#

aka /root_vdm_1/day04old.caresource.corp

or something similar..

This path does not look like a filer path - more like a Windows share with the c$ in the path?

/day04old.caresource.corp/c$/src_home/Restores

You will need to specify a valid path.

Yes you are correct its a Windows path but its actaul a share on the Celera Simulator.  I'm thinking the passwords are different between the old NDMP and the simulator and NetBackup is using the global password insted of the defined password.

The problem is with destination path.

Have a look at the links in Nagalla's post.
