I have a NetBackup DB2 client that is trying to restore a database via the DB2 initiated command as I have these policies set for "Default-Application-Backup". It errors out with the following message:
SQL2062N An error occurred while accessing media
"/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/nbdb2.sl64". Reason code: "516".
In the Admin console, I don't see any restores being initiated from that client, nor do any logs get created when I create the "bpdb2" and "bpbkar" directories for logging followed by initiating the restore.
I've found a few things relating to this being due to doing an alternate restore, however, in this case, we are restoring the database to the same client as where the backup was taken. Even so, I have already added all alternate names to /usr/openv/netbackup/db/altnames. The backups for this system seem to work fine.
NetBackup Info:
Version 6.5.4
Master/media server: Solaris 10
Client: AIX 6.1 w/ NBU DB2 6.5.4
Has anyone else seen this before or have any suggestions?

Thanks Zahid. After putting in the cluster names in the altnames file on the master server, the restores started working.

'Thanks Zahid' means to me that he pointed you in the right direction, right? That says to me that Zahid deserves the Solution nod, don't you think?
