E-Mail notify without external Mail-Programm to an SMTP-Port possible

I will enable E-mail-Notifiing (catalog-backups for desasterrecovery-file). Is it possible to sends E-mails to an SMTP-gateway without using an extern mail-programm?

(Netbackup 6.0 MP2 on W2KSP4-Server)...

As far as i know, Veritas doesn't have a feature to send emails ... it depends external applications for example Blat is most famous and also Microsoft outlook.

I am sure it doesn't support in 4.5, 5.0 and 5.1 but not really sure about 6.0.

After the seeing the SMTP feature in BrightStor Arcserve i have requested Veritas to add this feature but not sure when we will get that. :)

i have downloaded blat and configured the nbmail.cmd with

@blat %3 -subject %2 -to %1

(first install blat by "blat -install smtp-server senderadress port") and netbackup sends mail but

thats a mail from a multistreaming Job (Server contain 4 Drives + SS) and so I get 5 mails - grrrrrrrr

I only won't have 1 mail :) from the init-job

Any idea, what's wrong?
