E-mail Notifications

I'm curious.. I have several SAs who get annoyed with all the e-mails that netbackup sends them on the status of their backups. More specifically when there is multiplexing involved and several jobs are running for one specific client/policy.

Has anybody come across away to create maybe a "Digest" of all the emails in a specific period of time for a specific host? Kind of like how some newsgroup lists are setup... so you're not flooded with e-mails all the time.

I haven't done it personally, but I would imagine that you could modify the backup-end notify script to just LOG the information and then depending on the day, e-mail the digest.
Something like this?

If day=Monday-Saturday {
Dump result to log file
}
If day = Sunday {
Email log file
}

I wrote a script that parses the jobs log and emails results to an SA for only his servers .
