Encrypting old media

Currently running Netbackup enterprise server 6.5.2 and encrypting data using policy based encryption. What I need to find out is, if its possible to encrypt old LTO2 and LTO3 media onto the new LTO4 media. What would be the best way of going about it.

We had to get our old tapes back from the vault and manually do tape to tape duplicates which was too much hassel so we ended up deciding not to worry about encryption on those tapes but once the expiry is reached to destroy them.

the media server should have access to see both storage units then run bpduplicate or use the GUI to make an additional copy of the images on the tape. Be sure to use a volume pool above volume pool 1500 and that has a valid key created for the LTO-4.
