Error code 26 Handshake errors.

I am trying to execute a backup for a media server, it is using a standalone tape drive.  Backup keeps failing with a 26 error code and the logs aren't helping me out much.  Any suggestions?

Also could you post up the Detailed Status output of the failed job?

Also can you enable the bpcd log on the client and reproduce the error then post the bpcd log?

if Windows: create the folder c:\program files\veritas\netbackup\logs\bpcd      - then goto host properties in the gui - > clients -> client name -> logging - increase logging to maximum

If Unix: mkdir /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpcd/    then add VERBOSE = 5 to /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf
