Hi
I am experiencing the following error while backing up oracle archive logs.
(.....) <-- db backup log, successful
channel ch1: backup set complete, elapsed time: 00:03:26
released channel: ch1
released channel: ch2
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of backup plus archivelog command at 12/23/2008 01:37:54
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file, name="SOK_full_4183_1", parms=""
ORA-27028: skgfqcre: sbtbackup returned error
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
VxBSACreateObject: Failed with error:
Server Status: timed out waiting for media manager to mount volume
As you can see there is level 1 backup. Does NetBackup supports incremental backups (i.e. level 1) for Oracle archive logs? Or maybe there is something else wrong?
Thx for any advice

You should have listed in your Script(s) NB_ORA values like
NB_ORA_CLIENT
NB_ORA_SCHED
NB_ORA_CLASS
The error your getting looks like those variable are not present so the master is denying any backup from starting.
Get with your NB Admin and check these values.

Do you have any existing successful clients to use as a model? somethings to check are:
su - oracle
reverse addressing
bpclntcmd
telnet to the netbackup port
permissions
